IAS officer Ashok Kumar is a guiding star without any doubt. His Journey from an IPS Officer to a UPSC Mentor is itself an inspiration for many.
You can become more than you are and you can reach farther more from where you have reached. The will and the action is the key. IPS Ashok Kumar has been former DGP of Uttarakhand. He has launched ‘Abhiyaan UPSC’ to bridge the gap in accessible and personalized UPSC exam preparation. And this is particularly for underprivileged students.
He leverages his help through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter in order to provide crucial guidance to aspiring civil servants. So far ten students mentored by him have achieved success in UPSC CSE 2023.
Evoking a sense of dedication and leadership, Ashok Kumar’s name is an introduction of a retired Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the 1989 batch from Uttarakhand cadre. IPS Kumar had risen to the prestigious position of the 11th Director General of Uttarakhand Police.
Still, IPS Kumar’s story extends far beyond his distinguished police career. Today by shaping the aspirations of future civil servants, he plays a pivotal role through his pilot project, ‘Abhiyan UPSC’.
