Indian Army Chief has gotten an extension of one month.
Following a directive issued by the competent authority, the services of the Indian Army Chief has been extended for one more month.
The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has lately approved the extension in tenure of General Manoj C Pande, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS). He has been given a period of one month for continue working beyond his normal age of superannuation (May 31, 2024), i.e. up to June 30, 2024.
General Manoj C Pande was posted as the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) on April 30, 2022.
