Anil Kumar Lahoti has been appointed as Chairman of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
Year 1984 Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer Anil Kumar Lahoti was currently rendering services as Chairman and CEO, Railway Board. With the new appointment order he will now hold the position of Chairman in Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI. Lahoti has been given a tenure of three years.
As the third non-IAS officer to hold the position, Anil Kumar Lahoti, an is also the ninth chairman of the regulatory body.
