Eight days prior to the Elections, State DGP has been changed and now three names are to be submitted today for the position in the state of AP.
Andhra Pradesh witnesses removal of the state DGP with expecting three names to be considered for the vacant post. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has just yesterday ordered the transfer of Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police K V Rajendranath Reddy.
Reddy is a year 1992 batch IPS officer from the AP cadre, who was two months ago appointed state DGP in February 2022. Now with the new order the poll authority has asked a list of three eligible IPS officers in the rank of director general by Monday evening to fill the vacancy.
