The Ministry of Road Transport & Highway has formulated a policy which is to be implemented from October 2025 that Truck driver’s cabin has to be air conditioned.
According to a notification from Road Transport & Highway Ministry, specified that Vehicles falling under the N2 and N3 categories must be fitted with an air-conditioning system.
Installation of air conditioner in truck’s cabin will be mandatory to make their Journey journey less difficult and more convenient.
The gazette issues a notification from the ministry saying, ‘Air conditioning system (AC) will have to be installed in the cabin of N-3 and N-2 category vehicles manufactured on or after October 1, 2025.’
Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari says that truck drivers play a significant role in freight transportation, therefore it is vital to pay attention towards keeping their mood and working conditions good.
