As many as 8 new Joint Secretaries have been appointed in the different Ministries of the Government of India. The new Joint Secretaries appointed are:
- The 1985 batch IRS-IT officer, J B Mohapatra has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser, Department of Science & Technology.
- The 1984 batch IDAS officer, Ms. Anuradha Mitra has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser, Department of Electronics & Information Technology.
- The 1994 batch IAS officer of Orissa cadre, Santosh Kumar Sarangi has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce.
- The 1987 batch IRTS officer, Madhukumar Reddy Anam has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles.
- The 1989 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre, Sunil Bharthwal has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel.
- The 1988 batch IAS officer of UT cadre, Chetan Bhushan Sanghi has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development.
- The 1987 batch IAS officer of Sikkim cadre, Arun Kumar Yadav has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation.
- The 1985 batch IAS officer of UT cadre, M K Kutty has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change.
