A group of probationers of 65th Batch of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Central Excise) called on the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee on November 17, 2014 at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Welcoming the probationers to the Durbar hall of Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President said that all of them would start their career in public life very soon and he was happy that prior to beginning of their new assignments, their Academy has brought them to this historic building.
The President congratulated the probationers on their selection to the civil services which he said, is an indicator of their potential to perform and achieve. During the coming years, they all will get ample opportunity to deliver their best in the service of the nation. He was sure each one of them will rise to the occasion and will do their best. He urged the probationers to respect the trust of the nation as the Government has assigned them the sovereign function of tax collection.
