Vijayawada would be new Capital of Andhra Pradesh: Naidu

Chandrababu Naidu Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh announced that Vijayawada would be new capital of Andhra Pradesh.  The Sivaramakrishnan Committee report on the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, which was submitted to the Union home ministry on August 27, was tabled before the state Legislative Assembly on Thursday.  He told the assembly that the government has decided to “locate the capital at central place of the state around Vijayawada”.Naidu said the decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting Sep 1.
