M L Batham promoted to the rank of ADG, BSF

The 1976 batch officer of BSF cadre, M L Batham, serving as IG, BSF who is also an eminent Hindi poet and writer has been promoted to the rank of Additional Director General. The outstanding officer is a recipient of President Police Medal for distinguished service, Police Medal for meritorious service, Pandit Govind Vallabh Pant award, Indira Gandhi Raj Bhasha award and NHRC award for creative writing.
