The President of India has congratulated all the medal winners participants of India who raised the flag of India with pride in XX Common Wealth Games, 2014 in Glasgow.
In individual messages, the President said, “Your achievement is an example of what can be accomplished through hard work and dedication. You have made all Indians proud and proved that hard work always bring laurels. I wish you the very best for all future endeavours”. The names of the winners are:
- Shri Yogeshwar Dutt won gold for wrestling
- Ms. Babita Kumari won gold medal in freestyle 55 Kg wrestling
- Shri Vikas Gowda for winning Gold for discus throw
- Ms. Geetika Jakhar won silver for 63 Kg freestyle Wrestling
- Ms. Dipa Karmakar won Bronze in women vaults
- Shri Pawan Kumar won Bronze for winning medals
