IPS Raman Kumar Meena has been appointed as DIG in CBI.
Mr. Raman Kumar Meena, a 2011-batch IPS officer from the Himachal Pradesh cadre, has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Currently serving as a Superintendent of Police (SP) in the agency, his elevation was cleared by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, as per a DoPT order dated March 28. The promotion is valid for the remaining duration of his central deputation, which continues until February 9, 2030, or until further orders — whichever comes first.
