Elevation of 23 UT State Civil Service Officers to IAS, Assigned to Joint AGMUT Cadre In a major administrative shifting

23 UT State Civil Service officers have been promoted to IAS rank and they have been assigned to joint AGMUT Cadre.

In a major administrative development, 23 officers from the State Civil Services (SCS) of various Union Territories have been promoted to the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Their appointments, approved by the President of India on April 8, 2025, follow consultations between the Government of India and the respective State Governments. These promotions address vacancies in the IAS cadre across select lists from 2021 to 2024.

All newly inducted officers have been allocated to the Joint AGMUT Cadre (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territories) and will remain on probation until further notice.
