Finance Department is about to appoint new Secretary as IAS officer Tuhin Kanta Pandey has been transferred to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
A year 1987-batch senior IAS officer Tuhin Kanta Pandey hails from Odisha cadre. The Department of Finance is all set to appoint a new Secretary following the exit of Odisha cadre senior IAS officer Tuhin Kanta Pandey, who has been designated as the new SEBI Chief.
Previously, when the then Finance Secretary Dr TV Somanathan (1987-batch Tamil Nadu cadre IAS officer) was posted as Cabinet Secretary in August 2024, IAS Pandey took charge as Finance Secretary on September 8, 2024.
