IPS officer Ajay Kumar Singh has been given charge of the Director General of Police of the Jharkhand state.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has again appointed Ajay Kumar Singh as the Jharkhand DGP days following the removal of Anurag Gupta (IPS: 1990: JH) as the acting police chief.
A year 1989 batch senior IPS officer Ajay Kumar Singh was selected from a panel of three IPS officers whose names were given by the state government. Earlier he was appointed Jharkhand Director General of Police in February 2023, was removed in July 2024.
