Two top cops have been designated as the new Additional Director General of Police in the Police Department of West Bengal.
In accordance with a directive issued by the state administration two IPS officers Gyanwant Singh and Jawed Shamim have been mandated for the position of ADG in Kolkata Police.
IPS Gyanwant Singh is currently serving as the Director of the Directorate of Economic Offense is soon to joint the Intelligence Branch of the state police as ADG. On the other hand, IPS Jawed Shamim (1995 batch) has been appointed as the ADG and IGP (Law & Order).
