With the arrival of IPS Shalini Singh, now Puducherry gets new DGP, whereas Srivastava is back to Delhi Headquarters.
Following a directive issued by the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet, name of IPS officer Shalini Singh has been mandated as new Director General of Police, Puducherry.
A year 1996 batch IPS officer from AGMUT batch, Shalini Singh was earlier serving in Delhi. After her arrival to Puducherry incumbent DGP, Andaman & Nicobar Island Devesh Chandra Srivastava (IPS: 1995: AGMUT) has been shifted to Delhi Headquarters.
