Heads start rolling in Odisha too and now three officers in the CMO have resigned.
Signalling a change in bureaucracy of the state, three officials in the Chief Minister’s office of Odisha have resigned lately on Thursday. The development appears subsequent to the defeat of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in the Assembly elections. Thus ends the 24-year-long rule of the BJD government led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Year 1983 batch retired IAS of Odisha cadre, R Balakrishnan and year 1986 batch Odisha cadre retired IAS officer Suresh Chandra Mahapatra were serving as the Chief Advisor, Special Initiatives and Chief Advisor, respectively in the CMO. Apart from these two officers principal secretary of IT and electronics department Manoj Mishra (RETD IRTS: 2000) too has resigned from their posts.
