The THDCIL-UJVNL joint venture strikes Rs one hundred forty Cr deal for Waste-to-Green Energy Plant.
Approximately 10 acres of land at Sarai for the construction of the plant has been provided by the Nagar Nigam, Haridwar.
Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of THDC, RK Vishnoi emphasized that the establishment of this plant is vital for addressing environmental issues which are concerned with solid waste while promoting cleaner surroundings in line with the Swachh Bharat vision.
The project is a significant milestone for the holy city of Haridwar which by employing advanced indigenous technology for solid waste management, exemplifies India’s commitment to self-reliance.
