Seventeen bureaucrats posted ti Joint Secy Rank

As many as seventeen bureaucrats have been appointed to Joint Secy rank at the Center.

Amidst a recent bureaucratic development, the Government at the Center mandated fresh appointments at the Joint Secretary rank to administrative officers from the All-India Services.

Significantly, the order does not feature IAS officers from Rajasthan, despite there cadre strength of two hundred fifty three from the state

Among the chosen ones the names include of the IAS officers viz. Rajeev Kumar, a 2000-batch Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) officer, Vrunda Manohar Desai, a 2003-batch officer Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officer Abhishek Bhagotia (2007-batch Assam-Meghalaya cadre), Rahul Kashyap, Muthukrishnan Sankaranarayanan (2003-batch IAS officer) and Shobhit Gupta (2000-batch IRSEE officer).
