IAS officer Parampal Kaur Sidhu has joined BJP. Punjab Chief Minister questions her joining prior to accepting the resignation.
Parampal Kaur Sidhu is a year 2011 batch IAS officer whose parental cadre is Punjab itself. Sidhu was last posted as the Managing Director, Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation.
Living in a family full of seasoned politicians and veterans, officer Sidhu has significant political influence. Now many know that Sidhu is the daughter-in-law Sikander Singh Maluka, the veteran Shiromani Akali Dal leader. Gurpreet Singh Maluka is her spouse is the Akali Dal supremo.
CM Bhagwant Mann did not like Sidhu’s decision of resignation. He warned her of serious implications if she jumps to join politics before her resignation was accepted by the administration.
