Election Commission of India has appointed 3 IPS officers to new posts ahead of the polls.
The Election Commission of India has given green signal to a proposal of appointing 3 IPS officers into distinctive ranks and capacities across the state of Odisha.
PK Jena, the incumbent Chief Secretary of Odisha, has received the order from the EC which allows the new appointments to the three chosen IPS officers.
Names among the three top cops include Brijesh Kumar Rai (2009 batch IPS officer), Prakash R (2008 batch IPS officer) and Umashankar Dash (2008 batch IPS officer).
