IPS officer Rajeev Kumar has been replaced by Vivek Sahay as Director General of Police ahead of LS polls in the state of West Bengal.
As per the Election Commission’s directive, soon after removing IPS Rajeev Kumar from the post of DGP, West Bengal, another senior IPS Vivek Sahay, has been posted to the top cop position.
Year 1988 batch IPS officer Vivek Sahay has previously served as the Director General (DG), Provisioning and Home Guards
The Election Commission of India had earlier instructed the West Bengal Chief Secretary to provide a list of three eligible officers as a replacement for Rajeev Kumar after his removal from his position.
