IPS officer Surendra Singh Yadav has been posted as the new DGP of Chandigarh. On the other hand the MHA has cancelled its previous order.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India through its latest notification has issued an order appointing of IPS officer Surendra Singh Yadav. At the same time the MHA has also revoked its order issued on February 9, 2024. As per this order senior IPS Yadav was appointed as the DGP of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Year 1997 batch IPS officer of AGMUT cadre, Surendra Singh Yadav will now be holding the position as the new DGP of Chandigarh. an IPS officer of 1993 batch of AGMUT cadre is the present DGP Praveer Ranjan, who is going to be relieved soon.
