Maharashtra Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla has been given an extension of tenure.
Now with the new order, IPS Rashmi Shukla will be continuing as the DGP, Maharashtra for almost two more years till January 03, 2026.
Year 1988 batch Indian Police Services officer Rashmi SHukla has been given two-year tenure on her current position as the Maharashtra Director General of Police (DGP).
As per the latest order, an extension of tenure has been issued by the state government on 27 February, 2024. IPS Shukla was set to retire on June 30, 2024.
Rashmi Shukla had served as Additional General Director of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). She held the position of Pune police commissioner and headed the State Intelligence Department (SID) during the rule of the Devendra Fadnavis-led BJP government in the state.
