IAS officers Neelam Meena and Sanjay Bansal will be handling new responsibilities in the state of West Bengal.
Year 1998 batch of Indian Administrative services officer Neelam Meena has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Consumer Affairs department. This change was needed after IAS Sen was relieved of her duties in the the Consumer Affairs department.as the Additional Chief Secretary.
On the other hand, year 2004 batch of IAS officer Sanjay Bansal takes additional charge as the Managing Director of WBHIDCO as well as Urban Development and Municipal Affairs. Bansal replaces senior bureaucrat Debashis Sen (1985 batch IAS).
