Three Secretary level posts fall vacant awaiting the arrival of an appropriate candidate.
After a Secretary-equivalent reshuffle in the beginning of February 2024, three Secretary-level posts have fallen vacant.
In the North Eastern Council Secretariat, the post of Secretary fell vacant due to the appointment of K Moses Chalai (IAS: 1990: MN) in the the Ministry of Home Affairs, as Secretary Inter-State Council Secretariat.
On the other hand, the post of Special Secretary (Logistics) fell vacant with the posting of Sumita Dawra (IAS: 1991: AP) in the Ministry of Labour & Employment, as Secretary.
Further upon the appointment of Rita Vashisht in the 22nd Law Commission as Secretary, the post of in-charge, Central Agency Section (Ministry of Law & Justice) has fallen vacant.
