Senior Advocate Rohit Kapoor may soon be appointed as Judge, Punjab
Kapoor’s candidature for the post has been supported by the Supreme Court. The Apex Court has recommended advocate Rohit Kapoor’s name for the post of Punjab and Haryana High Court judge.
Recently the Supreme Court Collegium has recommended Kapoor’s name for elevation to the Bench. It says, Kapoor “is fit and suitable” for appointment on the position of a Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has been working with only fifty seven judges instead of a sanctioned strength of eighty five.
