MHA orders promotion of IPS Anand Jain and Nitish Kumar to ADGP Grade.
The approval of promotion for Nitish Kumar (IG,CID) and Anand Jain (IG Jammu) by the Union Home Ministry has promoted the two senior officers as additional director generals of police(ADGPs).
Through a recent order, the MHA says that 1999 batch IPS officers, Nitish Kumar and Anand Jain are promoted as Additional Director General of Police from January 01, 2024 or from the date of assuming charge, whichever is earlier.
The order from the Home Ministry appeared after the screening committee finalized their promotion proposal on Dec 20, 2023.
