The Dulanga Coal Mining Project (Odisha) as well as the Talaipalli Coal Mining Project (Chhattisgarh) have bagged Star Rating Awards for sustainable mining excellence.
The projects have received the award under the category of Opencast mines by the Ministry of Coal at a ceremony held on December 20 in Delhi.
By achieving the awards, the NTPC has proved its commitment towards best mining practices keeping in pace with environmental standards towards promoting sustainable mining.
The Star Rating award (3rd rank) has gone to the Dulanga Coal Mining under the category of Opencast mines continuously for last three years (2019-20, 2020-21 & 2021-22.)
Under the same Opencast category, Talaipalli Coal Mining Project has also won Star Rating award (Achievers Rank) for the year 2019-20.
Award given by Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affair, Prahlad Joshi was received by Shivam Srivastava, Director (Fuel) and Animesh Jain ,CEO, NML during the Annual Star Rating of Coal Mines award ceremony.
