An Indian Administrative Officer is all set to kick off his political journey from Machhlishahr.
The soon to be politician, Kripa Shankar Saroj is a 1989 batch retired IAS officer who appears to be poised to enter the political corridors by contesting election in Uttar Pradesh. This is Machhlishahr Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh. Though, he is willing to embark upon his political journey now, still it is to be seen whether any political party nominates him or not.
Kripa Shankar Saroj expects to be contesting on the platform of the Congress, SP or BSP. In case none of the parties gives him ticket, Singh will be contesting as independent from Machhlishahr .
Retired as Additional Chief Secy in March this year, Kripa Shankar has been spending considerable amount of time laying the groundwork in Machhlishahr as his future constituency since 2021.
Saroj originally hails from Sonahita village in Jaunpur district. Here in the district Machhlishahr tehsil of Jaunpur holds the status of a reserved Lok Sabha constituency.
