The Central Govt has extended lockdown for another two weeks till 31 May. NDMA, the apex disaster management body, in its recommendations to home ministry said, “Considering the fact that lockdown measures need to be implemented for a further period in the country to contain the spread of COVID 19.” Lockdown 4.0 Guidelines shared by government are:
- The delineation of red, orange and green zones will now be decided by state governments and Union Territories.
- Inter-state and intra-state movement of passenger vehicles and buses has now been allowed with the mutual consent of states.
- Stadiums and sports complexes will be permitted to open but spectators won’t be allowed.
- E-commerce activities – for both essential and non-essential items – will now be allowed in the red zones too.
- Barber shops, spa and saloons will also be allowed in red zones.
- Plying of rickshaws and auto rickshaws; running of taxis and cab aggregators will be allowed in red zones.
