Wuhan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday left for India after wrapping up his two-day informal summit with the Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Modi had arrived in China on Thursday to hold bilateral talks with the Chinese President. The talks focussed on improving and strengthening India-China relations, following the Doklam episode which happened last summer.
China’s Vice Foreign Minister Kong Xuanyou said on Thursday that these “heart-to-heart discussions” would allow the two leaders to discuss the overarching issues and try to build mutual trust to resolve their outstanding differences.
Modi was seen off by Chinese vice foreign minster, Kong Xuanyou and Chinese Ambassador to India, Luo Zhaohui and other officials at the Wuhan airport.
