Lucknow: MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar who is allegedly involved in Unnao rape case has been taken into custody by the CBI from his residence on Friday.
According to the media reports, CBI may also investigate Unnao’s Superintendent of Police, Chief Medical Officer,Circle Officer, jail doctors and others.
Sengar has been charged under Section 363, 366, 376, 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 2 and 4 of the POSCO Act. Sengar will be presented at the Allahabad High Court on Friday and the court will pronounce its verdict in the light of this matter.
UP government on Thursday told the Allahabad High Court that they had no adequate evidence in the case to arrest the MLA after the court asked whether the police will arrest Sengar or not after booking him for rape and the POSCO Act.
