Today central government has given 3 months extension to Uttar Pradesh DGP, Sulkhan Singh. He was scheduled to retire on 30th September i.e. tomorrow. Before this UP government has sent a request for his 6 months extension. Now he will retire on 31 December 2017.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the proposal of Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday. Sulkhan Singh, who joined the office on April 22 last, is a 1980 batch IPS officer. He is the senior most IPS officer across Uttar Pradesh.
