The Appointment Committee of Cabinet has approved the extension in the upgradation of the following posts, which were initially upgraded to the post for the period of two years, inter-alia on 29 July 2015, for the period of one year.
- Joint Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development to the level of Additional Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs.
- Joint Secretary, Dept of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry to the level of Additional Secretary, Dept of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
- Joint Secretary, Dept of Electronics & Information Technology under the Ministry of Communication & information Technology to the level of Additional Secretary, Dept of Electronics & Information Technology under the Ministry of Communication & information Technology.
- Joint Secretary, National Commission for Minorities under the Ministry of Minority Affairs to the level of Additional Secretary, National Commission for Minorities under the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
- By upgrading the post of Registrar General & Census Commissioner of India, Ministry of Home Affairs to the level of Additional Secretary.
- Joint Secretary, Dept of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare to the level of Additional Secretary, Dept of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
- Joint Secretary, Dept of Expenditure in the Ministry of Finance to the level of Additional Secretary, Dept of Expenditure in the Ministry of Finance.
