Yogi govt gives nod to new industrial policy

UP government has given its nod to the industrial policy draft and employment promotion policy 2017. Yogi government intended to promote industrial and socio economic development in the backward areas of UP, especially eastern UP and Bundelkhand. Units fetching a turnover of Rs 100 crore or providing jobs to over 500 people in in Bundelkhand and estern UP will be given the status of mega units. Units fetching a turnover of Rs 150 crore or providing jobs to 750 people in Central UP and Westrn UP, barring Gautambuddh Nagar and Ghaziabad, will be given the status of mega units.
Units fetching a turnover of Rs 200 crore or providing jobs to 1000 people in Gautambuddh Nagar and Ghaziabad will be given the status of mega units.
