Sh. Rajive Kumar took charge as Secretary, Ministry of Shipping on 1 Dec 2014. He belongs to the 1981 batch of IAS, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a Post-Graduate degree in Physics as well as Masters degree in Public Administration(MPA) from Harvard University.
Sh. Rajive Kumar has handled several key assignments in the state including Urban & Rural Development, Personnel, District Administration & Long stint in the Industrial Development Sector serving as the Chief Executive Officer in several state PSUs.
He has also held important positions in Govt of India as Special Secretary/Additional Secretary in Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Joint/Additional Secretary in Cabinet Secretariat and Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance.
