As many as two officers have been appointed as Part-time Members in the National Statistical Commission(NSC). The officers are:
- Dr. J. V. Meenakshi, Professor in the Dept of Economics, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi given the category of Social & Environmental Statistics in such areas as Health, Population, Education, labor & Employment.
- Sh. P. C. Mohanan, Former Deputy Director General, Computer Center, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation in the category of Statistical operation in such areas as Census, Surveys, Statistical Information System or information technology. i
