A 2010-batch Indian Police Officer Himanshu Kumar created a flutter by alleging in a tweet that the state Director General of Police (DGP) office is pressuring for action against the members of one particular caste.
Without any substantiation, he tweeted and tagged the CM office as well which said ”why is DGP office forcing officers to punish people in the name of caste ? Though, in subsequent tweet, he sought to clarify his earlier tweet saying he supports the government’s initiative.Currently attached to DGP office after having served Firozabad and other districts as district police chief, he also stated that he remained an honest officer and did not buckle under pressure.
