Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Mr. Nitin Gadkari has started streamlining the functioning of the Ministry after resuming the charge. In this order he has reviewed all ongoing Projects of NHAI.. He has shown his administrative abilities and decided to repatriate two senior officials of NHAI. Member PPP, Mr. Sudhir Kumar, IAS-1983 batch Bihar cadre and Member (Admin), Mr. Narendra Kumar, IAS-1988 batch UT cadre. Mr. Ajoy Mehta, IAS-1984 batch Maharashtra cadre is likely to take charge as Member-PPP and search for Member (Admin) is under process. The Minister asked the NHAI officials to encourage public private partnership (PPP). It is also believed that Minister has approached PM to instruct Cabinet Secretary to expedite Mr. Ajoy Mehta central deputation on as soon as possible.
