The 1991 batch IAS oficr of Uttar Pradesh cadre, R. K. Singh has been appointed as Deputy Director General (DDG) at Joint Secretary level in the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on lateral shift basis from the Department of Heavy Industry for the balance period of his overall five year central deputation tenure up to October 15, 2017 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
