SC upholds ex-Haryana DGP’s conviction​ in Ruchika Girhotra molestation case​

The Supreme Court on Friday upheld the conviction of Haryana’s former director general of police SPS Rathore for molesting Ruchika Girhotra, a minor and budding tennis player.The apex court, however, granted relief to Rathore and reduced his sentence from one and half years to the sentence he has already undergone. Rathore has spent nearly five months in jail.
