DST commits Rs 500 cr for Startup India

In order to realize the ambitious Startup India initiative, the Department of Science and Technology (DST) has committed Rs 500 crores to implement programmes to bring both speed and scale to transform the Startup ecosystem in the country in the next few years. NIDHI (National Initiative for Development and Harnessing Innovations), an umbrella program, is pioneered by the DST for nurturing ideas and innovations (knowledge-based and technology-driven) into successful startups
