The 1978 batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, Atulesh Jindal has been appointed Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).He will succeed A K Jain, who completes his term this month-end.Jindal is currently working as Member (Revenue) in the CBDT.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Jindal as Chairman CBDT, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training said without mentioning his tenure.
