Shivanand Jha likely to be next Delhi Police Commissioner

Ahmedabad Commissioner of Police Shivanand Jha a 1983-batch IPS officer of Gujarat cadre is likely to be Delhi Police Commissioner.He was a member of the special investigating team (SIT) formed by the Supreme Court to probe the riots after the Godhra carnage. He was later dropped from the SIT on the orders of the SC.He is due to retire in April 2020.
