Dr P C Jaffer appointed registrar, Lokayukta Karnataka

Ajay Seth,Senior IAS officer has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to Education (Primary and Secondary Education) department in a reshuffle of 11 officers. Dr P C Jaffer has been appointed registrar, Lokayukta, Bengaluru.

Till now, as a convention, only district judges have held the position, in keeping with a recommendation by the chief justice of the Karnataka High Court.But for the first time, the government has appointed an IAS officer, overlooking Principal City Civil and Sessions Judge Gunaki Narendra Kumar Basavaraj, whose name was recommended by the High Court.
