On Thursday, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi reached Rajasthan for two days visit including Padyatra in Hanumangarh dsitrict and address party leaders in Jaipur.
State Congress committee president Sachin Pilot, Leader of opposition in Rajasthan assembly Rameshwar Dudi and former chief minister Ashok Gehlot received Rahul Gandhi at the Suratgarh Airforce Station.
In his 9-km padyatra, Gandhi will cover Khotanwali, Surawali and Amarsinghwala villages in Hanumangarh district and interact with farmers and different groups of people. After concluding the padyatra in Amarsinghwala at 5pm, he will leave for Suratgarh. Gandhi will stay in state capital Jaipur for the night.
Gandhi will address a conference of party functionaries at Birla Auditorium in Jaipur on Friday. Elections to about 125 civic bodies are scheduled for next month and he would address all their incumbent representatives and former functionaries.
