The six IAS officers of batch 1985 & 1986 of Andhra Pradesh cadre have been promoted to the rank of Special Chief Secretary (CS). Accordingly,
- P. V. Ramesh Babu, Veena Ish, Manmohan Singh & Jagdish Chandra Sharma have been promoted to the rank of Special CS and retained in the posts they have been holding.
- The 1986 batch officers D Sambasiva Rao and Satish Chandra have been promoted and retained in their existing posts.
