Out of a circular issued by the Department of Home Affairs and Justice, lately on the twenty first of June, the Punjab Government has mandated the transfer of one IPS and one Punjab Police Service (PPS) officer.
A year 2018 batch Punjab cadre IPS officer Abhimanyu Rana is currently serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) of Ludhiana. He has been appointed as ADCP of Amritsar, replacing Mr. Prabhjot Singh (PPS officer).
