16 officers appointed in the post of Secretary, Govt of India

As many as 16 officers have been appointed to the post of Secretary or additional Secretary in the Govt of India. The officers are:
1. Sh. Nagendra Nath Sinha, IAS (JH:87), Secretary, Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Steel w,e.f. 01.12.2022. The officer will take over as Secretary, Ministry of Steel vice Sh. Sanjay Kumar Singh, IAS (MP:87) upon his superannuation on 31.12.2022.
2. Sh. Aramane Giridhar, IAS (AP:88), Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways as Officer on Special Duty, Department of Defence. The officer will take over as Secretary, Department of Defence vice Shri Ajay Kumar, IAS (KL:85) upon his superannuation on 31.10.2022.
3. Sh. Vivek Joshi, IAS (HY:89), Registrar General of India and Census Commissioner, Ministry of Home Affairs as Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance vice Shri Sanjay Malhotra, IAS (RJ:90) upon his appointment as Officer
on Special Duty, Department of Revenue.
4. Sh. Amrit LaI Meena, IAS (BH:89), Special Secretary (Logistics), Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Coal. The officer will take over as Secretary, Ministry of Coal vice Shri Anil KumarJain, IAS (MP:86) upon his superannuation on 31.10.2022.
5. Sh. Sanjay Maihotra, IAS (RJ:90), Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Department of Revenue. The officer will take over as Secretary, Department of Revenue vice Shri Tarun Bajaj, lAS (HY:88) upon
his superannuation on 30.11.2022.
6. Sh. Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, lAS (UT:90), presently in the Cadre appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The officer will take over as Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy vice Sh. Indu Shekhar Chaturvedi, lAS (JH:87) upon his superannuation on 31.10.2022.
7. Sh.  Sanjay Kumar, IAS (BH:90), Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education. The officer will take over as Secretary, Department of
School Education & Literacy vice Ms. Anita Karwal, IAS (GJ:88) upon her superannuation on 30.11.2022.
8. Sh. Sanjeev Chopra, IAS (OR:90), presently in the cadre, as Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution vice Shri Sudhanshu Pandey, IAS (UT:87) upon his superannuation on 31.10.2022.
9. Ms. Meeta R. Lochan, IAS (MH:90), Member Secretary, National Commission for Women, Ministry of Women and Child Development appointed as Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports vice Shri Sanjay Kumar, IAS (BH:90) upon his appointment as Officer on Special Duty, Department of School Education & Literacy.
10. Ms. Alka Upadhyaya, IAS (MP:90), Chairperson, National Highways Authority of India, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways vice Shri Aramane Giridhar, IAS (AP:88) upon his appointment as Officer on Special Duty, Department of Defence.
11. Sh. Manoj Govil, IAS (MP:91), presently in the Cadre, as Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
12. Sh. Shailesh Kumar Singh, IAS (JH:91), Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development. The officer will
take over as Secretary, Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development vice Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha, IAS (JH:87) upon his appointment as Officer on Special
Duty, Ministry of Steel w.e.f. 01.12.2022.
13. Sh. Sudhansh Pant, IAS (RJ:91), presently in the Cadre appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways w.e.f. 01.12.2022. The officer will take over as Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways vice Shri Sanjeev Ranjan, IAS (TR:85) upon his superannuation on 31 .01 .2023.
14.  Sh. Kamran Rizvi, IAS (UP:91), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs appointed as Officer appointed on Special Duty, Ministry of Heavy Industries. The officer will take over as Secretary, Ministry of Heavy industries vice Shri Arun Goel, IAS (PB:85) upon his
superannuation on 31.12.2022.
15.  Ms. Rachna Shah, IAS (KL:91), Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Textiles. The officer will take over as Secretary, Ministry of Textiles vice Shri Upendra Prasad Singh, IAS
(OR:85) upon his superannuation on 31.10.2022.
16. Sh. Mritunjay Kumar Narayan, IAS (UP:95), Additional Secretary, Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs appointed as Registrar General of India and Census Commissioner, Ministry of Home Affairs in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
